The common thread is a space where we all have something in common. A curated collection of ethical and sustainable wares for Women, Mamas and little wide-eyed wanderers.

The shop will also become a space for the community to gather for events and activities, including mothers group and workshops for Mamas and babies.

Dreamt up by creative and sustainable advocate, Safa Itote, after seeing a gap in the market in one of Brisbane’s most bustling inner city suburbs - Bulimba.

Safa has worked in the fashion industry for over 10 years with experience in roles ranging from Buyer, Fashion Brand Manager, Clothing Designer and Retail Store Manager. Having sustainable, ethical and organic foundations instilled from an early age, Safa always endeavours to create a meaningful and sustainable lifestyle and workspace for herself and others.

In 2016 Safa teamed up with her sister, Desta, to create an ethically produced, organic cotton label creating luxe basics for women. In the past two years THE M|N|ML has grown to include organic linen styles, as well as unisex pieces.

THE M|N|ML is the basis for women's wear and by adding other like minded brands like Veja, Baiia and Dunkle Authentic - along with Cosmo Crew, Quincy Mae and more for the little ones - Safa hopes to provide her local community and beyond with wares that are good for people and planet, all while supporting local makers and companies who care.
